The Paradip Port Authority (PPA), on March 11, 2026, issued a trade circular granting priority berthing to LPG vessels in line with directions from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of India dated March 10, 2026. The measure has been introduced considering the essential nature of uninterrupted LPG supply to households across the country.
As per the circular, all vessels carrying Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) shall be accorded priority berthing at the port to ensure timely handling and avoid delays in distribution. This step aims to strengthen supply chain efficiency and support national energy requirements, particularly for domestic consumption.
The directive comes into force with immediate effect and will remain applicable until further orders. The circular has been issued for information and compliance by all stakeholders concerned with port operations.
